When people ask me where I’m from, I’m at a loss for words. I was born in London, England where I lived until the age of 8, then moved to the town of Kingston, Ontario in Canada (my parents were both Canadian). At the age of 14 I moved to the east coast of the States, living in Philadelphia. Once I was out on my own I changed directions and went west to the Seattle, WA area.
In 1999, following the destruction of my Whidbey Island WA home by a fallen tree, I relocated to Italy in pursuit of love and stayed there for 10 years. I lived near a small town called Palombara Sabina which is about 20 miles northeast of Rome. Now I split my time between the U.S. (Hawaii, Washington State, and Oregon) and Italy visiting family and friends.
I’ve been taking photos for as long as I can remember. My father bought me my first camera when I was 12 years old and I’ve been taking pictures ever since. I love to photograph old, abandoned buildings, cemeteries, and ancient ruins.
