global protest in rome, Italy (2011)

On October 15, 2011 300,000 people gathered in the center of Rome to protest economic inequality. A group of people, including the “Black Bloc”, broke away from the main protest, throwing rocks and incendiary devices at police. Windows of businesses were broken, trash cans overturned, and cars set on fire. Riot police moved in firing water cannons and tear gas.
